Project - Cannes Lions 2006 Young Creatives Wall

Outcome - 2 large walls advertising the Young Creatives competition at Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival 2006.

Commentary - During the Young Creatives competition at Cannes Lions teams are given just 24 hours to receive their brief, find inspiration and produce an advert. This competition runs across print, cyber and film on consecutive days.

I want to find imagery that captured the nature of the competition. Both photos used come from Getty Images.

The empty picture frame is a metaphor for the blank canvas that the Young Creatives must fill with the 24 hours.

The man looking at the sea and the horizon through his hands represents the Young Creatives search for inspiration. The shapes of the empty frame and the hands complement each other giving the 2 walls consistency.
