Project - Jim Fleeting Guitars

Outcome - Logo for guitar maker and guitar repair business 

Commentary - Jim Fleeting set up shop as a luthier and guitar repairer as part of Sound Savers, Ripon, North Yorkshire in 2006. He wanted a logo that represented his attention to detail, fine craftsmanship, use of traditional techniques and care. 

The identity I created featured traditional luthiery tools and carpentry tools in silhouette. These are interspersed with branches from the woods with which Jim most likes to use (when budget allows). Keen arborists and tree enthusiasts will notice these trees are Koa, Brazilian Rosewood, Beech and Walnut.
